I love these books. I re-read them when I am feeling down. They reminded me why I read so much– because every once in a while you come up with gold. I think the only thing missing from Posh’s review is how funny D.J. is, especially in the first book. I loved reading about a girl who was not good a school but still so smart/funny/thoughtful. Really, really great series.

Just finished the second book, and I now understand your FNL comments! I *thought* I knew why you said that at the end of Book 1, but I was ever so wrong. Best books evarrr and I’m so excited to read the final one. ILU, ERRY CHARACTER IN THIS SERIES!

Thanks to your awesome review, I’ve been reading these books (just got #3) from the library today. And I could not agree more. D.J. I love you! I want to go back to high school and move to (book) Wisconsin so we can be friends! Not really, because I was also really scared of sporty people in HS, but still.

Well my main job was to squeegee the poo, but I did a little milking as well. (But it loses it’s charm really fast when the cow you’re preping to be milked lifts their tail and does a little #2 right on your feet. Thankfully I was wearing boots that came up to my thighs, but still!) Also, *preens* for the HERO comment. Made my day!

I read the first book and listened to the audio book for one of my MLS courses. You should definitely check out the audio book- the reader NAILED a Wisconsin accent.

I’ve since read all three books and I just love them. I’m a small town Ohio girl born and raised and just about everything that happens to D.J. has happened to either me or someone from my town. My dad had a dairy farm when I was growing up and while I only worked on it every other weekend, when I saw my dad, WOW. It was HARD work. As a result, the books are so real to me! Excellent choice, posh!
